Stylish Union Jack Throws from Bronte by Design have just been added to our extensive throw collection.

These merino lambswool throws in patriotic red, white and blue are ideal for making a bold design statement.  The incredibly warm, soft wool is the perfect ingredient for getting snuggly on a chilly Summer evening.

Bronte by Design throws are manufactured at their mill in Guiseley.  They are one of the last mills in the UK who continue to complete all processes on one site – dyeing, blending, carding, spinning, weaving and finishing.

Bronte insist on only using the best quality raw material, so the wool that arrives at their site is either scoured or cleaned and combed to ensure there is less than 0.3% impurities within the fleeces.

Is It Time To Teach Your Curtains A Lesson?

New curtains hanging badly?

Existing curtains forgotten where their folds should be?

Here are my FIVE TOP TIPS FOR TRAINING YOUR CURTAINS INTO ELEGANT FOLDS:

1. Check that your curtain hooks are spaced evenly along the back of the curtain heading.
2. Pull curtain across and allow natural folds to form.
3. Starting at the outside edge, use the natural folds and gradually open the curtain pleating the fabric evenly between your hands.  Ensure the pleats continue all the way down to the bottom.
4. Tie the curtain with some fabric strips/string in several places from the top to bottom (approx. 50-75cms apart).  The ties need to be secure but not too tight as they may crease the fabric.
5. Clap hands together around the curtains at the top, middle and bottom, make any final adjustments then DO NOT TOUCH THEM for a minimum of 2-3 days.  If you can bear it, leave for 5 days.

Congratulations…your curtains should now be trained to hang in beautiful folds!
